How to access all your AI models in one place

And avoid overspending...

Hey Warrior,

I currently have a $20 ChatGPT Plus subscription, a $20 Claude Pro subscription and a $20 Google Premium subscription.

Considering that I mostly use Claude right now, subscribing to the others seems unnecessary. But at the same time, I want to always be using the best model and any update to a model could very quickly change things.

Many of you might feel the same way right now…

For this reason, apps that aggregate models have become a great option for users.

These are platforms where you get to access multiple AI models all from one interface.

I've researched and tested several apps to find the top four I’d consider. We’ll cover these today:

  • Poe: A simple all-in-one solution

  • Perplexity: The Google replacement

  • Typingmind: A customizable pay-for-usage model

  • Openrouter: A flexible prompt comparison tool

(Btw, this post is not sponsored by any of them, I just want to show you the same options I am considering for myself!).

Let's jump in!

Read time: 4 minutes

Poe: A simple all-in-one solution

If you're looking for a simple option to access all models in one place, Poe is a great choice.

It's free to use if you just want to access all free plan models.

And for $20/month, you can access all premium models like GPT-4, Claude 3 Opus, and Gemini Pro.

This also makes Poe a good option for EU users who haven’t yet gotten access to Claude, because of its location restrictions.

Poe also has a “Custom Bot” feature. This is essentially the same as a GPT in ChatGPT, so it lets you create a bot with a defined use case, for example a “translation bot” or a “SEO blog writer bot”.

Perplexity: The Google replacement

Perplexity's main advantage is its built-in internet search. This makes it ideal for those who want an AI-powered Google replacement.

And I must say, it’s search feature is pretty good, I usually try this before typing anything into Google.

However, it may not be the best choice if you primarily use AI for writing or just want access to a range of models.

While it does have a “writing mode”, I feel like the UI is not really made for that use case.

It’s also more limited in the models you can access. Currently it has it’s fine-tuned Perplexity models as well as GPT-4, Claude 3 and Mistral. These are available in the $20 Premium plan.

Typingmind: A customizable pay-for-usage model

Typingmind is great if you prefer usage-based pricing. You pay a one-time fee for the software (starting at $39) and then only pay for usage.

You’ll need to enter your API keys of the respective models though, and will be billed according to those.

But this makes it a good option for low-volume users who want to avoid a recurring fixed subscription fee.

On top of that, Typingmind also offers useful features like tagging, folders, a prompt library and writing tools, where you can for example define the tone and writing style.

Openrouter: A flexible prompt comparison tool

OpenRouter is perhaps the more advanced tool out of the rest.

The main benefit for me is that you can run one prompt and simultaneously see the outputs of different models.

They also have a large range of different models to choose from.

What I like as well is that the pricing is also usage-based, just like Typingmind.

BUT you don’t have the hassle of retrieving and entering your API keys. Instead, your usage is summed and just deducted at the end of the billing cycle.

Wrapping Up

Each aggregator has its own unique benefits, features and pricing models, catering to different user needs and preferences.

I hope this gave you a good overview and will help you make your decision.
